Malcolm Gladwell: The Sociology of Success: Culture and Choice
Getting rid of stuff feels great. Living with less stuff feels even better. Sometimes the best way to start something new is to clear out things from the past, and the book Zero Waste Home: The Ultimate Guide to Simplifying Your Life by Reducing Your Waste was brought up in our last meeting as a great book to help you with this.
The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It for Life by Twyla Tharp is a great book and quick read for anyone embarking on a creative endeavor, no matter what your medium. It offers a lot of practical advice, exercises, and activities that can help you with your chosen project or career. Twyla Tharp is one of the world's leading choreographers, but the book applies to any medium: writing, designing, building or making anything. She believes that “greatness is more the product of hard work, habit, and perseverance than it is about talent.”
